Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy summarizes prohibited uses of North Alabama Broadband networks and services. The final policy incorporated into a customer's service agreement controls if it differs from this website summary.

Illegal or Harmful Activity

Services may not be used to violate law; threaten or harass others; exploit children; distribute malware; facilitate fraud; infringe intellectual property; or create, transmit, or store content that is unlawful under applicable law.

Network and Security Abuse

Spam and Messaging Abuse

Customers may not send unsolicited bulk messages, operate open relays, distribute phishing messages, or use address lists obtained without appropriate permission. Normal personal and legitimate business messaging is permitted.

Network Integrity

Customers may not use service in a way that unreasonably interferes with other users, damages network facilities, bypasses security or service controls, or resells service without written authorization. Equipment attached to the network must be maintained securely.

Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take proportionate action, including notice, traffic controls, temporary suspension, or termination where allowed by the service agreement and law. Immediate action may be taken when necessary to protect people, the network, customers, or public safety.

Reporting Abuse

Reports should include relevant dates, times, IP addresses, logs, message headers, and a description of the issue. Send reports to support@nabroadband.com. Emergency threats should also be reported to appropriate law enforcement.
